Scientists have now found out that the things that we chase in our youth are – money and
acceptance – neither of those brings us happiness. Instead, as we grow old, we become happier.
Why is that? The answer is optimism.
Yes, optimistic and positive mindset brings us happiness. But when you are young, you are
dealing with a lot of woes about survival, jobs, love life, etc. None of those things matter as you
age because you have either already found your little friends’ circle or you have accepted your
aloneness (which is not loneliness, but a quiet peaceful aloneness).
When you age, you don’t look into the mirror and think “oh, [insert friend’s name] has got a
better job than me,” or “[insert friend’s name] has so many friends, and I don’t.” instead, you
look in the mirror and feel proud about coming so far – even making it to mid 30s seems like a
